Ronnie Dale Roberts, a 60 year old Trenton resident, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza in Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. His body is to be cremated following the services. A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 until 7:00 Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to either the Trenton F.F.A. or the Trenton R-9 Bright Futures and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Ronnie Roberts was born June 14, 1958 in Trenton, MO to Russell and Erma Dockery Roberts. He graduated from Trenton High School and received an Associate Arts degree in Building Trades from North Central Missouri College. On June 9, 1979 he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Martha Sawyer in Trenton. Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman, his favorite past times where camping, trail riding and hunting with his family and friends. He put a lot of hard work and dedication into his farming and cattle operation. Ronnie was employed at Trenton Foods from 1985 until present. He was a member of the Grundy Center Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife Martha of the home, daughters Tia Griffin and husband Brad, Tara Hoffman and husband Eric, and Tenna Roberts, father Russell Roberts and wife Beverly, brothers Kenny Roberts and wife Diane and Dr. David Whitaker and wife Kari, and sister Brenda Smith all of Trenton, seven grandchildren; Jaycie, Coleman, Riley, and Reid Griffin, and Emma, Sawyer and Charlie Jack Hoffman, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
