Mr. Charles W. Axtell 80, a resident of Trenton, Mo. died Saturday May 18, 2019 at 2:46 A.M. at St. Lukes On The Plaza, Kansas City, MO.

His body was to be cremated under the direction of Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton. No services are planned at this time.

Memorials To: either Galt Lions Club or Galt FFA Chapter and may be left of mailed to the funeral home.

Mr. Axtell was born Feb. 25, 1939 at Spickard the son of Kenneth and Lois Pettit Axtell. He graduated from Galt High School in 1957. Before retiring he was employed by Trenton Foods and then Nestle, Moorman Feed, drove a milk truck, school bus driver and was a security guard.

On Sept. 2, 1956 he was married to Doris Sims at the Fairview Church north of Galt.

His survivors include his wife Doris of the home.  Two daughters Valerie Axtell, Chillicothe, Mo. and Vickie Stimpson and  husband Daniel, Trenton. One son Dennis Axtell and wife Christina, Trenton. Five grandchildren Ashly Axtell, Tabitha Welter, Shayna Hawkins, Derek Stimpson, and Ryan Stimpson. Four great grandchildren Ethan Hawkins, Ella Hawkins, Eli Hawkins, and Lucy Welter. One sister Peggy Sims, Trenton. Three brothers Bob Axtell and wife Patty, Trenton, Jim Axtell and wife Iola, Emma, Mo. and Bill Axtell and wife Mary, Trenton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Walter and Hulda Axtell, Charles and Agnes Pettit, and one brother Jack Axtell.
