Naomi Ruth Altes, a 67 year old Chillicothe, Mo. resident, passed away on July, 1, 2012 at North Kansas City Hospital.

The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July, 16, 2012 at Resthaven Mortuary, with inurnment of cremains following in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton, Mo. A scheduled visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Ms. Altes was born April, 12, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa. The daughter of Royald Wendell and Lillian Mae (Neal) Altes. Ruth was a 1963 graduate of Mingo High School, Mingo, Iowa. Ruth lived many years in the Trenton & Chillicothe, MO area. While in the Trenton area, Ruth worked for Northwest Missouri Area Agency On Aging. Then worked for many years for Hunt Martin Materials, Kansas City, MO, where she retired from.

Ms. Altes is survived by her longtime companion & soulmate, Richard Berry, Chillicothe, Mo.; Brothers, Dean Altes, Grand Junction, CO, Gary Altes & wife Patty, Chillicothe, Mo., Don Altes & wife Joyce, Trenton, Mo., Johnny Altes, Kansas City, Mo.; Sisters, Marilyn Silkwood & husband Mark, Trenton, Mo., Janie Doll & husband John, Trenton, Mo.; one stepsister & one stepbrother; several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Royald W. Altes & Lillian Neal Bowen, her son Patrick W. Altes, stepmom, Betty (Stanley) Altes, stepmom, Jean( King) Altes and stepsister, Carolyn Huffman.
